Article tools can skyrocket the results you are getting from your article marketing campaigns. If you are still doing everything manually it is kind of like trying to get from New York to California by walking. Sure, you might eventually get there, but it doesn\’t make sense if you can afford transportation.

The most powerful SEO (search engine optimization) strategy is getting backlinks to your website. What are backlinks? Any link that does not originate from the same website is a backlink. Generally speaking, the more you get, the better your site will be treated by the search engines.

There are certain parameters for making your backlinks effective. First, you should spread them out, in terms of when you get them. Too many, all at once could could lead to a devaluation of them from the search engines. Forget about entering old school reciprocal links agreements with other webmasters, where you link to them and they link to you. These days, that just cancels each link out. For example, if your website is about shoes, you might choose RED TENNIS SHOES as your link. That would help you get much better search results whenever anybody did a search on that keyword. Now the question is, since these links must come from the outside, how are you going to be able to get other websites to link to you?

That is what article marketing is primarily about. Write articles and submit them article directories. Be sure to use keywords to link to your website, from the author\’s resource box at the bottom of each article.

Keep in mind, that if you don\’t yet have your own site, bum marketing (another term for article marketing), is perfect for getting targeted traffic to your affiliate sites for free. When you get some articles that are listed on the first page of the search results, you then will publish more articles. But, instead of linking to your affiliate site, you will link to those first page articles. This helps them to not only stay on first page, but move up closer to the top.

It doesn\’t make a difference if you are wanting to get your website to the top search position, or your article there. Either way, the bottom line is you absolutely must have the right article tools, or you are going to waste a mind boggling amount of time. For each directory you submit your article to, you must have a unique article. But, that is just the start of it. Do you want your backlinks to be more than temporary? Then, you also need a unique title, unique author name, and unique resource box. To do all of that manually is not much different than trying to walk across the United States.
